A team from UC Berkely made a study based on satellite climate analysis and 20 years worth of wildfire records for US. A certain progression in fire increase was established and it is even possible to run a simulation and see how things will look like several years in the future.

Having the ability for a more accurate fire forecast in US is something researchers hoped for in the latest years. Recent fire patterns are now associated with the global climate change. Scientists ask ourselves to be very careful with our life choices as every action we take could have results on the environment. Their motto is: Save the forest, save the world!
