Victims were taken to a number of area hospitals, including Ventura County Medical Center, St. Johns Hospital-Oxnard, Los Robles Regional Medical Center, St. John’s Pleasant Valley-Camarillo, and Community Memorial Hospital-Ventura. Many of the victims were treated for head and extremity injuries. The primary investigation concluded an important fact: the conductor of the train anticipated crash from a far distance.
