The 104 stories 1WTC is the tallest building in the country and the western hemisphere. One World Trade Center is the fourth-tallest skyscraper in the world. Its price – $3.9 billion – was double the original estimate. The building was first planned to open in 2006 but many delays occurred, related to its cost or political squabbles. The new World Trade Center complex will initially have three other high-rise office buildings, located along Greenwich Street, and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
