Forty-seven-year-old Michael Dunn, of Satellite Beach, killed 17 year-old Jordan Davis of Marietta, Georgia back in November 2012.
The white man fired towards a SUV carrying four teenagers after having a heated argument over the loud music from the car. The driver of the Dodge Durango drove off immediately after, but evidence showed that Dunn continued to fire shots as this happened. Because of this, during his first trial in February the man was convicted of three counts of second-degree murder.
At a second trial in September Michael Dunn was convicted of first degree murder. This Friday 17/10/2014 Circuit Judge Russell Healey sentenced Dunn to a minimum of 60 years in prison for all the charges brought against him. This will be served consecutively with the life sentence.
