The probability that other Ebola cases in health care to occur at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is at a high risk, CDC revealed. At least 50 people participated to Duncan case in the hospital. “We have to rethink the way we address Ebola infection control. Even a single infection is unacceptable,” said Dr. Frieden in a statement. Even a specific problem that led to this last infection was not found, adoption of new procedures at the hospital, including the retraining of hospital staff members in properly donning and removing protective gear to ensure they are not infected are now considered. At the same time and for the first time, was considering the idea that patients with the virus should be transferred to hospitals with special containment units and experience in treating the disease.

There are four specialized biocontainment units in the United States: the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases at Fort Detrick, Maryland, St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center of Missoula, Montana and Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
