T.J. Lane fired 10 shots from a .22-caliber handgun the morning of Feb. 27 at a group of students sitting at a cafeteria table, at Chardon High School east of Cleveland. “The safety and well-being of all students, staff and community remain our higher priority.(…) Chardon Schools will continue to monitor the developments in order to make  decision concerning tomorrow’s school day”, they said. T.J.Lane was serving life without parole. He escaped, along with two other men. One of them  has been captured “I’ve been asked whether he is a danger. Answer is no one ever wants to return to prison for a life ”, declared on Twitter Lane’s former attorney, Ian Friedman. Chardon , a community of 5,100 people, is about 190 miles away from Lima. Authorities are working to found the escaped inmates but do not believe the two men were armed. “All available troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol have been joined by Allen County Sheriff’s deputies and local area law enforcement in establishing a perimeter and searching the area. A Patrol helicopter with advanced infrared detection equipment has been deployed and is engaged in the search as well”, said in a statement Ohio Department of Public Safety Director John Born.
