200 passengers evacuated after a PATH train derailment in New Jersey


Four people (the truck driver, the train conductor, one engineer and one passenger) were treated at a hospital, to Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark , with minor injuries. Port Authority police, as well as Harrison police and fire officials, were on scene. The incident is still under investigation. OATH trains are eolling Monday. PATH railroad was first planned in 1873 to link the major railroad stations in New Jersey with New York City. The first trains ran in 1907. Security at PATH is a multifaceted effort that includes deployment of Port Authority Police, employee security awareness training, enhanced Closed Circuit Television, K-9 units and other security measures, according their Safety & Security policies.
