Speaking in Los Angeles, Obama said his administration has “actually reduced our carbon emissions faster than any other country in the world, even as we are also producing more energy generally, doubling our production of clean energy.” The American President suggested that developing solar power will have an important effect on the labor market contributing to create new jobs. A new strategy was scheduled to be revealed Friday about programs conceived to finance new solar business ventures and to train a solar work force. At the same time, new building codes will be imposed. The plans are projected to create enough new solar energy to power more than 130,000 homes. This is a politic decision and the Congressional Republicans admitted they support renewable energy but only if the President will consider to include more domestic energy production, including the proposed Keystone oil pipeline.
