Three peoples are in a critical status after the accident in Anaheim Hills , the Police said. The bus was badly damaged, nearly cracked down the middle. The injured students, transported to a hospital, are expected to survive. The crash is investigated by the California Highway Patrol. Witnesses were at the scene but they can’t identify the cause of the accident. However, they saw the bus going downhill at a high rate of speed without braking. The driver was identified as Gerald Rupple. Emergency crews extracted him though the front window of the bus. It took 15 to 20 minutes to free the driver. He had more serious injuries and was taken to UCI Medical . California law requires newer school buses to be equipped with seat belts, but there is no violation if the school district or driver does not require the students to wear them. Nohl Ranch Road was shut down in both directions from Stage Coach Road to Camino Vista.
