In fact, Eddie Palacios, an off-duty Transportation Security Administration (TSA) worker at the O’Hare Airport, observed that a woman fell on the track, on the Blue Line platform at the Chicago Ave. station. She was wearing dark clothes and the man realized quickly that this is almost impossible for the train operator to see her. The train was approaching so Eddie jumped onto the track in his bright orange University of Illinois sweatshirt, waving his arms. The train stopped at around 20 feet from the woman and her savior. She was pulled back on the platform. Palacios was acclaimed as a hero but he said it was nothing extraordinary, just the right thing to do. He got to the work and he don’t told to colleagues about this story. However it was the hero of the day.
