A new winter storm will hit New York

The New York City Department of Sanitation issued a 'snow alert' for Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 starting at 1 a.m. That put crews on alert to start preparing for snow removal. Sanitation began monitoring NYPD security cameras to get real-time information on snow fall. Boston and Philadelphia may receive about 6 inches of snow sometime overnight.
The winter storms have grounded this year thousands of flights and affected commuters going to their work. “We have seen quite a few storms that have gone from something to nothing and nothing to something this year,” said Lauren Nash, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service.
Life is difficult in such hard conditions but something changed in the global weather evolution and people must understand this and be prepared. The US insurance companies have to pay more than $1.5 billion since January 1, for frozen pipes, collapsed roofs and disrupted business across the country and this is not supposed to be the end.
