The New York City Department of Sanitation issued a 'snow alert' for Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 starting at 1 a.m. That put crews on alert to start preparing for snow removal. Sanitation began monitoring NYPD security cameras to get real-time information on snow fall. Boston and Philadelphia may receive about 6 inches of snow sometime overnight.
The winter storms have grounded this year thousands of flights and affected commuters going to their work. “We have seen quite a few storms that have gone from something to nothing and nothing to something this year,” said Lauren Nash, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service.
Life is difficult in such hard conditions but something changed in the global weather evolution and people must understand this and be prepared.
