A stolen Stradivarius violin recovered by Milwaukee police

The theft was committed with violence. The concertmaster Frank Almond was walking to his car when he was shocked with a stun gun and his instrument was robbed.
Two men, 41 and 36, and a 32 year old woman are in custody. A decision about whether the robbers will be charged was not taken immediately. An anonymous donor offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the safe return of the violin, Friday, last week.
The stolen instrument had particular signs, some unique striations on its back. This is one of roughly 600 violins, violas and and cellos known as built by the Italian artisan Antonio Stradivari. The quality of their sound is very special. Usually, such instruments are sold and have insurance policies for million dollars.
