Woman arrested after selling heroin in Happy Meal boxes

Shantia Dennis, a 26 year old, has been jailed and is detained at the Allegheny County Jail on charges that she sold heroin hidden in those bags after she received cell phone calls from her “customers”. She had also been charged of criminal use of a cell phone and possession of heroin and marijuana. A $30,000 bail was sentenced in this case. According to the investigators, in every “Happy Meal”were 10 individual doses of heroin. The drugs were sold through the drive thru at the Mc Donalds.
"We have no indication the owner knew of this and neither suspect has, to this point, implicated the owner or anyone else at either restaurant," said Mike Manko, spokesman for the Allegheny County district attorney's office. “We take these charges very seriously and we are fully cooperating with the authorities. We are also conducting our own thorough internal investigation”, said the franchisee, Iftikhar Malik, who owns the store.
The arrested woman denied the allegations but the agents nabbed 50 more bags containing heroin from her. The case is under investigation. In recent weeks, 22 people were killed in Pennsylvania by painkillers spiked heroin.
