He told officers he has transported the large sum in order to buy gold in California. But later he declared that he was just visiting one of his friends.
To justify why he was chartering the plane, Guckian motivated that it would be a safer way to transport the cash. However, he had flown regular jets to Nashville from New York and Chicago.
Guckian declared that he was previously arrested in New York for possession of cocaine for resale.
It is suspected that the real reason behind the possession of the large sum was for money laudering purposes.
The man is currently being held on a $10,000 bond. The investigation into the laundering charges and any connection with drugs is still underway.
