New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine were confronted with an ice storm. The New York Governor declared a winter ice storm emergency in four counties. A tornado touched the city of Redfield, Arkansas. Many homes were damaged and power lines were destroyed in several areas of the country.
Similar situations were reported in Canada. Toronto Hydro communicated that 250,000 people were left without power and it's possible not to have the power back in time for Christmas.
