Nikki Knight, his wife, who waited in the truck, observed the tragedy. She is a registered nurse and she got to the wreck to help. Unfortunatelly the two persons, her husband and the woman, did not have pulse anymore. Their death was pronounced on the scene. According to the police, all drivers involved in the crash remained at the scene. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
Friends of William Knight and his ex wife described him as “very outgoing, always wanting to help somebody.” He had four children including two stepchildren, from his first marriage.
His new wife was not injured. She was still in her wedding dress when she became a widow. “It’s a blur”, Nikki Knight said.
