It may be possible to receive the purchased product quicker than a pizza (it's about 30 minutes or less to receive the package at home). This was called the Prime Air unmanned aircraft project and it is developed on Amazon itself research and development labs.
Many steps have to be defined before the Amazon drone will be operational, including the need to new rules and regulations to be created by the Federal Aviation Administration. Drone delivery will cover about 86 percents of daily Amazon delivery. The time estimated to achieve the project is four or five years but presenting it on TV the Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos was optimistic in the attempt of the perspective of this major change in the e-commerce practice.
