It seems that the illness manifested soon after eating Thanksgiving dinner in the night before. At least nine from the 70 teams participating in the National Youth Football Championships have been affected.
The organizers believe that probably a player who was previously sick with a contagious stomach virus spread it to his colleagues and to other teams. But this is only a supposition. For now, the exact nature and origin of the virus are unknown. The probability in such circumstances is to spread a virus by food or water and drinks. but possibly bathroom doors and hotel room light switches can be infected. All the affected people were staying at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
