When officers arrived, Zimmerman offered no resistance and was not armed. However, two guns were found inside the home and other things were confirmed that his girlfriend related in her 911 call. As another evidence, Zimmerman forced the woman out of the home and barricaded the door with furniture.
The police took Zimmerman in custody and he will be presented to a judge.
After his acquittal, in July, in the Travis Martin case, Zimmerman was stopped many times by police for speeding. Even though he had a correct attitude when officers made their duty, the repeated violation of the laws and a precedent in violence in September (when his estranged wife and her father accused him of threatening them with a gun) may have impact on his trial this time.
