Somali pirate got 21 life sentences for killing four Americans

The pirates refused to accept the offer made by the US Navy(Negotiators had told them they could keep the yacht and even a small Navy boat in exchange for the hostages).
In the armed confrontation, the yacht’s owners and their friends Bob Riggle and Phylis Macay were killed. They were repeatedly shot by the pirates. They were really mutilated as Jean Adam’s face was unrecognizable.
The pronounced Tuesday for Salad had to be more severe than those of other pirates in the same group, so out of his 21 life sentences 19 are set to be consecutive.
At this point of his relation with the human society, Salad said through an interpreter that he was “very sorry” for the American’s death.
