The rescue operation was achieved very slowly because as the technical staff said, they worked very attentively to recuperate every person in safe conditions. Only one female rider was transported to the hospital accusing neck and back pain. Firefighters were called and participated to the rescue operation.
Similar incidents occurred in the past at the same roller coaster installation. The last event was in early August 2013. This time, they promised to identify and solve the technical issue.
The roller coaster is controlled by computers, which automatically entered in the safety mode. “The safety system did exactly what it’s supposed to do” said the Universal Orlando’s spokesman.
