Rick and Lisa Schmitt and their children Hillary and Eric live in Sanford, Florida. They have been hunting treasures for years, and they had some results in the past. But now they will have their own treasure. The law in Florida is to give to the state the possession of 20 percent of the discovered treasure in order for it to be used for display in a public museum. The family‘s part will be 50 percent of the remaining big value. They will split the property with the company 1715 Fleet-Queens Jewels LLC of Brent Brisben, which owns the rights to the wreckage. The Schmitts were allowed to do the search under subcontracting agreements.
