Authorities did not release the woman’s name yet but Park officials already reported on the status of the ongoing investigation. Right now it is checked whether the mom was properly secured in her seat or not.
The social media is already full of reports from various people who witnessed the mom die. On Twitter Joshua Fleak relates “Literally just witnessed someone fly off the Texas Giant two seats in front of me”. Others wrote about how other families were screaming and crying while looking for their families.
The accident is not currently being treated as a criminal investigation and park officials did not yet comment about the restraint system used on the ride.
