Neighbors either heard multiple gunshots or saw their windows vibrating and immediately called the Police. The district attorney explained that when Police arrived to the scene a man and the woman’s husband were performing CPR on the woman trying to keep her alive.
According to Bridget Norton Middleton, a Plymouth County District Attorney, Police found the attacker in the driveway armed with a long-barrel gun. He refused to put down the gun at Police request and instead pointed the gun at officers. Police officers then opened fire and shot the man.
The attacker, who reportedly knew 65-year-old Norma DesRoche and was her house guest, was sent to the hospital and is now in a good condition. Until further investigation can prove the man also killed the woman the attacker is facing charges of intent to murder the police and assault.
