Officials reported that the woman found a loaded gun on her seat. In a place where everybody comes with their kid, guns are a big danger. And while Disney World prohibits patrons from bringing weapons of any kind they don’t do much about checking them.
The existing security checkpoints are meant only for visitors and the security guards there check everybody except patrons for bombs and explosives. Patrons do not go through the metal detectors and are not subject to pat downs. Authorities quickly identified the gun owner Angelo Lista.
The gun’s owner has a weapons permit and also a justification for what happened. He apparently lost the gun after visiting the same ride and realized this just several minutes later. This timeframe was however too small and this is why the woman with her grandson found the weapon
