The incident took place at Houston’s Lone Star College and Quick is said to have stabbed 14 people, before another student subdued him causing him to stop the stabbing. Quick is said to have planned the attack for some time and he told the police that since primary school he had thought about stabbing people to death.
Quick had with him a razor-like knife which he used to stab fellow students in the neck and face leaving them critically wounded. The police were alerted about the incident at 11:00 am local time on Tuesday. The college was under lockdown until around 2 pm local time when the staff and students were allowed to leave.
The victims were taken to hospital for medical attention, with four having to be airlifted due to their dire condition. Two of the victims are said to have turned down medical attention. Classes at the campus were scheduled to resume today and counselors would be available to speak with students and the faculty.
