Walker apparently was upset that the student “watched her on TV”. The 20-year-old student who just got out of her car after parking it near the Newton Street tried to explain the mime that she doesn’t even have a TV. But Stephanie Walker didn’t follow that argument and started hitting the UGA student while holding her by the ponytail.
A passing-by motorist saw the mime pushing the student to the ground and hitting her. The motorist stopped and got out to help. He chased Stephanie Walker and with the help of two probation officers the mime was detained.
A police officer that talked with the mime immediately after the attack told the press that the woman “was ranting back and forth without making any sense.” Walker will have a mental evaluation before she is sentenced for the attack.
