The reason why the man was killed was apparently jealousy. Bengston’s wife works for a firearms manufacturer. Gregory Rodriguez became friends with Bengston’s wife after the two met at a trade show.
In the night Rodriguez was shot he was reportedly together with the woman having a glass of wine.
Police is currently investigating the case. According to a preliminary report the dead TV show host is not suspected to have been in a romantic relationship with Bengston’s wife. However, Bengston most likely thought there was something between the two and killed the TV show host. He then beat his wife and after driving 25 miles to his home in West Glacier he killed himself. Rodriguez’s wife and two children are now moaning their loss.
