A large number are facing misdemeanor charges while a 16 year old is facing charges of battering a security guard who was trying to have the mall evacuated. Earlier on, the band, Mindless Behavior performed at the mall and John Sarama, the general senior manager said the two incidents were not related since the show had ended 45 minutes earlier. According to police reports, a rowdy group of teenagers caused chaos inside the Chicago mall.
When they were done inside, they moved their chaos outside where they climbed on top of cars something that caused further confusion. Those who were injured were attended to and fortunately, the injuries were not too serious. The teenagers are still waiting for their cases to be heard and police reports indicate that a large number of the 19 are considerably young teenagers. The root cause of the chaos is not yet known.
