Police up death-toll from crowded Brazil nightclub fire to 245

The fire that swept and burned down this Sunday a nightclub located in southern Brazil lead to a high death toll. On December 25, 2000 a fire broke at a club in Luoyang, China because of a welding accident. That fire killed 309 people.

According to the latest updates the Brazil nightclub fire was one of the deadliest nightclub fires of the past decade. The cause of the fire is not yet known and Police investigations are still running.

According to security guard, Rodrigo Moura, the club was at full capacity before the fire broke. Somewhere between 1000 and 2000 people tried to force their way out of the fire but a big part of them were not so lucky to get out alive.
