Okubo was born on December 24 1897 and she only had the title of world’s oldest woman for a couple of weeks after Dina Manfredini from United States died less than a month ago. Dina Manfredini didn’t live long with the title too. She also became the world’s oldest person after Jiroemon Kimura from Japan died.

Two weeks after she got her title she died. Jiroemon Kimura, the 115 year old man from Japan who had the title before has inherited it.

We wish whoever takes Koto Okubo’s title many years to come and a lot of health. Let’s hope that person will carry the world’s oldest person title for a very long time!
