ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is supposed killed in US military raid

In fact it is expected to be announced that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed in a US military raid in northwest Syria. Members of the Joint Special Operations Command’s Delta Team carried out Saturday’s high-level operation after receiving actionable intelligence. The final confirmation is pending while DNA and biometric testing is conducted. The defense official said it appears that Baghdadi detonated a suicide vest during the raid made by special operations commandos. The CIA assisted in locating the ISIS leader.

Baghdadi, the leader of the terror group, has been in hiding for the last five years. He became the leader of Islamic State of Iraq in 2010. Baghdadi’s forces made lightning gains across both Iraq and Syria, and in 2014 he declared his group a global caliphate from the Grand Al-Nuri Mosque in Iraq’s second city of Mosul in his only known public appearance as ISIS leader. Baghdadi was the target of the top-secret operation in the last bastion of the country’s Islamist-dominated opposition.
