An entrepreneur died after he fell from a cruise ship

A Sydney born entrepreneur, Jonathan Pfahl, 37, died after he fell overboard from the Symphony of the Seas as the ship made its way from St Kitts to St Thomas in the Caribbean.

It’s not known how he fell overboard. The ship launched a rescue boat and Mr Pfahl’s body was recovered after a full-scale search. Jonathan Pfahl was holidaying with his wife and two young children at the time of the accident. “It was his wife’s birthday family holiday,” a friend said. “We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred on the Symphony of the Seas en route to St Thomas. Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones for their loss, and our care team is providing support and assistance during this difficult time,” a spokesperson of Royal Caribbean told to media.

Mr. Pfahl founded the British-based company Rockstar Group, which mentors entrepreneurs and invests in businesses. “You only live once, go out and do what you want to do,” he said as his favourite quote during an interview. Friend and cofounder of AmeriCamp, Lee McAteer, revealed his shock over Mr Pfahl’s death. „JP was a true rockstar and helped so many people get their businesses going,” he appreciated. Pfahl was originally from Sydney but has most recently been living in London. Friends and business partners have paid tribute to him on social media.
