Kids from the Sandy Hook Elementary School, where the mass killing took place are not likely to return until next year. Other than Sandy Hook, thousands of kids from 5 other schools located in the Newtown Public School District went back to school this morning. The schools opened in presence of additional security and after a two-hour delay.
One of the schools in Newtonn, Head O’Meadow Elementary School did open after it received threat via phone call. No real danger was posed by the call but both staff and students were ordered to stay at home. Students from the Sandy Hook Elementary School will be shifted from their own premise to Chalk Hill School which is a former middle school located around 7 miles away in Monroe.
