A 12-year-old boy was charged with multiple offences after a car accident in Australia

The car had allegedly been stolen from the suburb of Cranbrook. The allegedly stolen Toyota Tarago flipped onto its roof in the Townsville suburb of Kirwan. The accident left two 10-year-old boys in a critical condition with serious head injuries but six children and teenagers, all under the age of 14, were taken to hospital following the crash. Several of the children were thrown from the wreckage. Driving without a licence was the most worst fact on his action. The other charges were dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter premises and commit an indictable offence by break, receiving tainted property.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating. If someone  is convicted of unlicensed driving in Australia the court may give a maximum fine amount, or the person may be imprisoned for up to 1 year. It’s not clear how they will proceed with an underaged. But certainly „young people should be under parental supervision, not being able to be in these situations in the first place where their lives are at risk,” as a police officer told to media after accident.
