He and McAfee lived on an island off the coast of Belize. Their neighbors say that the two were good friends at least until last Wednesday when Faull filed a complaint against the millionaire antivirus pioneer.
Right now McAfee is nowhere to be found. He contacted Wired magazine to give his version of the story. Sixty seven years old John McAfee denies the murder and is convinced that if he surrenders Belizean police will kill him. Furthermore he adds that his neighbor was most likely killed by a hired hit man which he believes was actually after him.
John McAfee was accused back in April by the Gang Suppression Unit of unlicensed weapon possession and methamphetamine manufacturing. The charges were later dropped. However, ever since McAfee thinks GSU was out to get him. When GSU got word of John McAfee’s framing theories Marco Vidal, head of Belize’s’ GSU, had the following to say: “This guy amazes me every day. We don’t have anything personal against Mr. McAfee.”
John McAfee told Wired magazine: “You can say I’m paranoid about it but they will kill me, there is no question. They’ve been trying to get me for months.” He has no intention to turn himself over and is currently on the run.
