New rape accusation for Roman Polanski

Roman Polanski, 84, who  was arrested in 1977 for sexually assaulting 13-year-old Samantha Gailey (now Geimer) during a Vogue photo shoot , was accused now by a fourth woman for rape. Former German actress Renate Langer filed a report with Swiss police claiming that Polanski raped her in Gstaad in February 1972, when she was just 15 years old.

Langer, now  61, said she met Polanski while working at a modeling agency in Munich during high school. She had a small role in his movie “Che?” The former actress declared he allegedly raped her at his home when she visited him in Gstaad, then again a month later in Rome. Langer said she had not told police until now because she was worried about her parents’ reactions. Now, they are died. Polanski was expected to receive a severe 50 years sentence  when he fled the country in 1978.

Arrested again in September 2009 in Switzerland, Swiss police refused to extradite him and he was released from house arrest in July 2010. Regarding this new accusation, the Swiss police have now sent the case to a public prosecutor who will determine if the cops can pursue it. Polanski's first feature-length film, Knife in the Water (1962), was made in Poland and was nominated for a United States Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Having made films in Poland, the United Kingdom, France, and the United States, he is considered one of the few international filmmakers.
