Issues published under the no-nudes policy featured both scantily clad models and could-be naked women with strategic parts of their body covered up. Now, the slogan “Naked is normal” was featured on the magazine’s cover. “Today, we’re taking our identity back and rediscovering who we are.,” the  chief creative officer Connor Hefner said Monday. The new issue displays breasts and butts, but not full frontal nudity. It introduces model Elizabeth Elam as Miss March 2017 in a photo spread shot by photographer Gavin Bond. The deputy editor Hugh Garvey resigned late last month. The company released the following statement about the massive change: “Playboy will continue to publish sexy, seductive pictorials of the world’s most beautiful women, including its iconic Playmates, all shot by some of today’s most renowned photographers.” Playboy’s March/April 2017 issue is now available for download on Playboy.com and on newsstands nationwide Feb. 28.
