The US-British camp Bastion is the base where Prince Harry was stationed.
The attack was aimed towards the main American base from southern Afghanistan. The US sector Camp Leatherneck is located inside amp Bastion. Although London officials could not confirm the use of other weapons besides small arms, a U.S. official offered more details about the insurgents that breached the perimeter of Camp Bastion. In the attack a wide range of weapons were used: rockets, mortars, grenades propelled by rockets and small arms.
“We are aware of an incident that has taken place at Camp Bastion, which is currently being dealt with,” a Ministry of Defense spokesman in London declared. Prince Harry was not directly involved in the attack and according to London officials he was never in any danger.
