Mark Zuckerberg and two millions others of Facebook users were affected by the “death hoax”

Even if the news was not on any major American network, indicating without doubts  that it was a fake report, some people believed it. A “R.I.P. Mark Zuckerberg” Facebook fake page attracted nearly one million of ‘likes’. A lot of fans immediately started writing their messages of condolence on the Facebook page. But Facebook’s founder is alive and well. On Sunday was confirmed that Mark Zuckerberg is not dead. “He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He’s still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet,” the statement said. “This was a terrible error that we have now fixed,” a Facebook spokesperson said. The memorial feature was introduced in 2015 after a number of high-profile cases where family wanted to access the social accounts of deceased loved ones. When and why the learned to turn it on at their command is another story.
