My wish is that 2015 will bring our people a bounty of opportunities for flourishing and renewal, said the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins. When the Russian Christmas Day was celebrated, this week, President Putin said: “It draws us towards primordial spiritual values uniting millions of people, values that play a special role in the history of Russia and nourish our national culture.” German President Joachim Gauck has used his Christmas message to urge Germans to remain open-minded and helpful towards refugees. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a Christmas greeting to mark the occasion of the Christian holiday, in which he highlighted the significance of “tolerance.” ” In this season of goodwill, I urge all patriotic Nigerians to rededicate themselves to doing all within their powers to support the brave men and women of our armed forces in the ongoing war against terrorism, and also support the Federal Government’s efforts to provide more succour to the hapless victims of terrorist atrocities”, said in his message President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria.
