The U.S. and Cuba prepare to normalize relations between parts


Cuba answered “yes” allowing to release it because Cuba wants the relations with the U.S.  to be reconsidered. The American President confirmed Gross’ release could lead to a thaw in relations with Cuba. “The Cuban Government’s release of Alan on humanitarian grounds would remove an impediment to more constructive relations between the United States and Cuba,” Obama said in a statement. For the instant it’s not about dropping the embargo but some discussions to allow commercial activities interesting bots parts could be expected. U.S. officials say the Obama administration plans to start talks with Cuba on normalizing full diplomatic relations and opening an embassy.
“With respect to Cuba generally, I’ve made very clear that the policies that we have in making remittances easier for Cuban families, and making it easier for families to travel, have been helpful to people inside Cuba… But the Cuban government still needs to make significant changes” Obama said.
