Gunman took hostages at the Lindt Chocolat Cafe in Sydney, Australia

New South Wales Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione said that did not know his motivation. However, a black flag bearing Islamic slogans written in Arabic was seen in the store’s window. Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott has said the incident in which people have been taken hostage at a cafe in the center of Sydney is “very disturbing”. He also added expressing his attitude of disavowal: “We have to appreciate that even in a society such as ours, there are people who would wish to do us harm.” Armed officers were lined up outside the cafe in attendance. “I would urge all Australians today to go about their business as usual”, the Prime Minister have advised people. This was a way to affirm that the officials will solve soon this incident controlling the situation in the Australian spirit of “a peaceful, open and generous society.”
