Holding his final press conference of 2013, on Friday, US President Barack Obama referred to this as one of the major subjects and promised a “definitive statement”, in January next year, on the National Security Agency’s domestic surveillance practices, reinforcing the idea that he “is taking this very seriously.”The president will never accept  Snowden’s actions. But he was forced to name Snowden as the cause of some important future changes. One of them will require probably that the telephone companies and not the NSA will hold the information collected. In this case, even the government will have some difficulties to access them.
