Some of the seats on the east side of the venue and a massive LED panel were destroyed. The stadium was finished but now a delay in delivery will exist. FIFA set a December deadline for all the 12 World Cup venues. The owner of the damaged stadium -the Brazilian club Corinthians – and the constructor are investigating what happened. FIFA President said he was “deeply saddened by the tragic death of workers.”
Many other problems, including fatal accidents, occurred during the construction of the stadiums for the 2014 World Cup. Coordinated by FIFA, tests will be performed in all locations before the big events, to verify the functionality and safety.
