A commuter train accident in Buenos Aires left at least 80 people injured

The driver of the train was hospitalized because he was injured.
The cause of the accident is not yet determined but it is clearly that the train failed to stop. The first investigations revealed that the train driver was normally tested before his work day.
Even if the accident injured people and produced material damage, it was less dangerous than the previous tragic event in the same station, in February 2012, when 52 people were killed. As a consequence of the 2012 accident, surveillance cams were installed into conductors’ cabs. The Sarmiento line is one of the busiest in the country.
Because she is recovering after a recent head surgery, President Cristina Fernandez was not informed about this train accident.
