The snakes were kept in big plastic bins and after a first examination experts say the snakes were in distress and not cared for. A veterinarian at the scene declared the pythons will be fine. In Brantford it is illegal to own pythons. Police did not release a statement describing what will happen to the owner.
The python which killed the two boys was bought from here. It was kept in a big glass enclosure from which it escaped through the ventilation system. It then went into the living room and killed the two sleeping boys. The owner’s son who was in another room was unharmed. The python was captured and after it was killed a necropsy revealed it was in good health.
