Clash between Syrian rebels and Pro-government Syrian army around the Aleppo prison

In the northern city of Aleppo, the rebels have reportedly detonated car bombs in the vicinity of the walls of the prison on Wednesday morning. Government sources claim that they have fought back in response to these bomb fights.

According to the United Nations, approximately 80 thousand people have been killed since the mass uprising against President Assad started back in March 2011. In addition to these lost lives, millions have fled their residences.

Moreover, on Wednesday, one of the US based monitor agencies have stated that, Syria is facing a countrywide internet blackout for the 3rd time in the past 6 months. According to Renesys Corporation, internet services in Syria had gone offline since 7 a.m. GMT.
