Pakistani schoolgirl shot in the head by Taliban is now in a stable condition

The girl publicly spoke about how a girl’s education is something that should not be neglected and after appearing on the media on a regular basis she received civilian honors for her bravery.

The teen’ struggle to support women’s rights in Pakistan was remarked and the girl even made the list “Person of the year 2012” in Time magazine.

The teenage girl caught the world’s attention after she was shot on a school bus in Pakistan while returning home. She was not shot in the head by the Islamist group by accident. According to the Taliban militants the girl was targeted because she promoted “western thinking” and education amongst girls.

British doctors explained that the girl has made remarkable good progress as she is now able to write and stand. With minimum signs of brain damage it is possible that the girl will return home soon.
