Residents over the age of 18 are expected to be able to buy the drug for recreational use legally within two years. Adults over the age of 18 will be allowed to possess up to 30 grams of cannabis. Preparing the next step, Health Minister Étienne Schneider and Justice Minister Félix Braz traveled to Canada in mid-May to learn more about the practicalities of legalizing the drug.
